The Wind Bands are among the department’s most successful and popular ensembles with students and audiences alike. The senior band meets every Tuesday lunchtime and welcomes woodwind, brass and percussion players of Grade 5 standard and above. The bands' director Dr Mark Clayden takes a lighter approach to repertoire than some of our other senior ensembles; the senior band has played music by Lady Gaga and Adele alongside music from The Lion King, The Incredibles, Sweeney Todd and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

 

Every summer, the Band plays at the Bandstand at the Horniman Museum and we always look forward to the Spring Concert and the Winter Charity Concerts.
