A Word of Thanks

 

Dr Burton and the Music Department would like to thank you all for coming to support our fantastic young musicians this evening. It is wonderful to be able to give our smaller ensembles a concert setting appropriate to their more intimate dimensions, and with a warm and supportive audience together in the sensitive acoustic of this spectacular Recital Room, our ensembles are able to realise their full musical potential.

 

Alongside the ensembles, our budding harpsichordists have been enjoying the challenges of adapting their piano skills to a new instrument, and we’re sure you’ll agree that their talents have shone through this evening. Such an experience, for students and audience alike, would not have been possible without the generous contribution of the Court family, whose son Ryan is an Old Wilsonian. We are greatly appreciative of the huge opportunities they have afforded for Wilson’s students today and for generations to come.

 

Thank you also to the PFA, to our brilliant site staff, and everyone who has contributed to this evening—not least the performers themselves!​
